Stephanie Bell – The Wayward Fairy Princess

Stephanie Goldmaracynthia Bell lived on earth from her early years. She may not have looked like it to others, but she was always a fairy and not only that, she was a royal one, next in line for the crown of the higher world.

In the Crime or Crown series, a Fairy is a superior being from a higher world but they still look like us in many respects.

Our world has a corrupting influence which is why fairies tend to avoid coming here.

A meddler in witchcraft summoned Stephanie from the fairy realm while she was in her infant years and despite attempts from her home world to return her, she ended up being left in an adoption centre where she was later taken to the home of David and Jane’s parents.

She grew up with an awareness that she was a fairy but due to the corrupting influence of Earth, she closed her mind to the higher world and went her own way.

It was David and Jane who discovered the great secret about her in the underground archives run by a wizard named Alphamorinzo. He had long been searching for her himself and was in contact with several fairies.

As she grew up, Stephanie realised that the way of getting what one wants, even if it meant doing illegal things, gave her quite a thrill.

She noticed that she was good at petty crime and being able to get away with it.

She learned to ride high powered motorbikes for efficiency and speed.

Stephanie uses motorbikes to execute crimes of theft

She soon gained the respect of other local criminals who tried to recruit her into their gangs. She agreed to this for a while but soon realised that she was better than them and often refused to abide by the gang rules.

Eventually she went on to start her own gang which she named Safer Streets. She was in charge and wouldn’t tolerate any disloyalty.

Gang Leader Stephanie Bell, also a secret, unknown fairy

One of her men, Ethan, ended up becoming her boyfriend after he successfully completed a spy mission on another gang and left a recording device in their meeting room and a tracking device on one of their vehicles.

Stephanie finally felt quite happy now that she was respected as a remarkable gang leader and loved by a fellow partner in crime.

Stephanie turns a partner in crime into her boyfriend

After she had been located, the fairies sent a trained agent, Sophia Rosemaracynthia Highborn to reclaim her to her true home world.

It is always highly dangerous to send any fairy to our world, especially a powerful one, in case they become Corrupt. That is why they chose a rather young fairy and had to carefully train her not to fall into evil before she was ready to be sent down to Stephanie.

The agent does her best but Stephanie refuses to cooperate and locks Sophia-Highborn up in a cage in her basement. But the young fairy, having sway over animals, causes two of her men’s bloodhounds to enter into a frenzy and attack both her and her men. Stephanie ends up on the run, chased by the bloodhounds and the Police.

Ultimately the mission was unsuccessful but Stephanie was caught by authorities and sent to jail. However, she soon escaped and continued her life of crime.

Sophia-Highborn proved to be able to handle being on earth without allowing it to corrupt her. But her resilience was tested when she briefly felt tempted to take over Stephanie’s glorious position as leader of the Safer Streets gang. But she resisted this temptation and returning to the higher world, she continued to be trained with the possible intention of having her embark on a second mission to earth.

Sophia-Highborn, A Fairy Sent From The Higher World

Jane Helps to Have Stephanie Returned to the Higher World

Jane, the stepsister of Stephanie was always Fascinated by the idea of fairies and how her own Stepsister was one herself but didn’t seem to care. One day, Stephanie briefly meets her because it is her birthday and that is when Jane is used by Alphamorinzo, also sometimes refereed to as the wizard of Guildhall, to sedate Stephanie which she does successfully, using a needle during a sisterly embrace.

Jane, human stepsister of Stephanie Bell

Once sedated, Stephanie’s life essence was able to be transferred back to the higher world for the first time since she had been stolen from it as a little child.

Alphamorinzo, the Wizard of Guildhall

She was then welcomed home and pressured into becoming the fairy princess that she truly is.

But she didn’t like being home in the higher world and still held out for earth. She rejects the advances of Joyce the son of Marius, a Saltor of good standing in the kingdom.

Eventually, she who is spoken of as the Dark Witch, sends her most formidable apprentice to the higher world to take Stephanie back to Earth.

If Stephanie stays on Earth, this will weaken the power of the High Family and provide an opportunity for an attack on the higher world with the intention of overthrowing it and ruling there herself.

The Arrival of Raven Eagle-Bane

Alisha Byrne, once an innocent Irish girl, meets a friendly lady in Epping Forest. This is an ancient and very large forest that straddles the boarder between Greater London and Essex.

Alisha Byrne before she became a witch

The friendly lady notices how curious Alisha is about magic and begins to teach her the art of alchemy and tells her that she will later teach her the art of Energy Harnessing.

Eventually, the lady in the forest reveals herself as a witch but asks for the loyalty of Alisha, promising her many great things and much power.

In the end, Alisha gives in to the tempting offer and freely gives herself over to be the dedicated apprentice of the Dark Witch who praises her and gives her a new name – Raven Eagle-Bane.

Raven manages to get past the blockade in the Higher World and hides there while teaming up with Stephanie and forming a plot with her to return back to Earth together.

She does not tell Stephanie that she has been training for 13 years to be skilled enough to overcome people like her as well as Combat Fairies and Saltor warriors.

She has also been trained to syphon power from the higher world and steal it for the Dark Witch whom she diligently servers.

In time, the Dark witch intends to gather sufficient power and strength to wage war on the Fairy Realm and become its new Supreme Ruler. But this is a slow and patient process and she relies to a Significant degree on her Rigorously trained Apprentice to bring this about.

Raven Eagle-Bane, Apprentice of the Dark Witch

For a long time, Stephanie was able to keep her plan secret and this included keeping Raven Eagle-Bane a secret who was hiding in the higher realm.

But eventually, Elora-Brightgaze of Maracynthiavale discovers what Stephanie is up to, thanks to her gift of Superior Vision.

A search then begins to find the hidden witch and Vanessa of Alphiabrook attends to Princess Stephanie.

At this point it is looking like Stephanie will not claim the Crown of the Higher World but is still determined to return to Earth and resume her life of crime.

  1. An enthralling narrative! The juxtaposition of the ethereal fairy realm with the gritty underworld of crime is both unique and captivating. Stephanie Bell’s character arc, as a fairy princess turned gang leader, offers a fresh take on the often-explored themes of identity and belonging. The introduction of the enigmatic Raven Eagle-Bane and her allegiance with the Dark Witch added layers of intrigue and suspense. Kudos to the writer for weaving such a rich tapestry of fantasy and reality. I’m eager to delve deeper into this world with “Crime or Crown.” Highly recommended for fantasy enthusiasts looking for a novel twist!

  2. This story is like mixing fairy tales with a crime drama, which is pretty cool. Stephanie Bell, who’s actually a fairy princess, ends up leading a gang of criminals on Earth. Then there’s this mysterious character, Raven Eagle-Bane, who teams up with Stephanie and has some shady plans.

But there’s also a good witch, Sophia Highborn, trying to bring Stephanie back to the fairy world. And there’s another girl, Alisha, who becomes a witch’s apprentice and gets involved in all of this.

Overall, it’s a fantasy story with a twist, and it sounds interesting if you.

  3. This tale titled “Crime or Crown” captured my full attention quickly and I found myself enthralled with what was to come as I read through the prose. Most definitely this is a book I would invest in for my reading pleasure and something that I am sure many others would enjoy as well.

Stephanie Bell reminds me of my own daughter in some ways, perhaps that’s part of the reason I was so quickly into the story as it unfolded. There is no doubt that this work has legs to sell to a wide audience of people like me who enjoy a good story while curled up on the couch sipping on a good glass of wine in the living room while a fire burns brightly in the fireplace. Thanks for the preview, I will be purchasing this book for myself…

Interesting how Stephanie is actually also a fairy, but then becomes the gang leader with her own gang, and even a boyfriend. Even when she is captured, she manages to escape. I look forward to reading more about the outcome of her life.

thanks for sharing all this info about Fairy Fandom and the Crime or Crown series. The fantasy world you’ve created sounds really unique and intricate. I especially like the idea of fairies being more human-like than the traditional winged versions. It’ll be interesting to learn more about the different provinces in the Higher World and how characters’ powers differ depending on their rank. There seems to be a lot of depth to explore.

I’m particularly intrigued by the concept of a “wayward” fairy princess, which hints at a character with a strong spirit and a penchant for adventure. The allure of discovering how Stephanie navigates her world and the challenges she faces is compelling.

As a fan of fantasy fiction, I truly appreciate the effort that goes into creating such imaginative and immersive stories. It’s evident that a lot of creativity and passion has gone into bringing Stephanie’s world to life.

  11. Wow, this is a fascinating blend of fantasy and reality! I’ve never encountered a story where a fairy, especially a royal one like Stephanie Bell, chooses a life of crime over her ethereal existence. It’s intriguing how she seems to prefer the thrill of the earthly realm, even forming her own gang, over her destined royal life in the fairy world. The concept of fairies being superior beings from a higher world, yet resembling humans and being susceptible to the corrupting influences of our world, is quite thought-provoking.

I’m curious, does Stephanie ever feel a conflict between her fairy nature and her chosen path, and does the earthly realm’s corruption have irreversible effects on fairies? Also, the characters like Raven Eagle-Bane and Sophia Rosemaracynthia Highborn add layers of complexity and intrigue to the story. It’s interesting to see the interplay between different magical beings, each with their own allegiances and objectives.

I’m new to this genre, and this rich tapestry of characters and their intertwining destinies has piqued my interest. I’m eager to explore more about this unique world where the ethereal and the gritty coexist. Can’t wait to delve deeper into ‘Crime or Crown’ and see how the destinies of these characters unfold!

    • A great comment Michael. Thank you. To answer your question about Stephanie, yes she does experience inner conflict from time to time. In fact, she needs a life of distraction and thrills because there is an emptiness deep down inside her and she doesn’t exactly have the best conscience. So she lives on the edge and in her quiet moments, she drinks expensive beverages.

No, the corrupting influences of earth on fairies can be overcome but once corrupt, it is unlikely that a fairy will redeem herself and the process is complicated. If a fairy is sent to earth, she needs to be trained to resist the pull of darkness and evil that are present here. That is why they had to train Sophia-Highborn not to fall into evil before sending her to our world.

To be honest, Crime or Crown is a children’s and young adults book with text that is a bit bigger than normal, but apparently, people of older age brackets also find this story a pleasure to read.

Such imagination!  I haven’t read any fantasy works for a long time as it’s not typically the genre I go to anymore but this has lit my imagination once again.  You’re creating a curious tension between the fairy-world and crime-community.  I can see that one would benefit from reading the whole series to really understand the various levels and intricacies of fairy life.  I think this realm has no limitations to where you can take these stories and the characters.  With the clever introduction of Raven Eagle-Bane, and the possibility of humans being pulled into the Higher World, stories, as well as fairies wanting to live on Earth, you have opened up limitless possibilities for new chapters.

It’s not every day that we come across a story blending elements of the supernatural with a touch of the underworld. Stephanie’s journey from a fairy princess to a life of crime is both captivating and unusual.

Stephanie’s unique background as a fairy from a higher world who ended up on Earth due to meddling in witchcraft is a premise that piques curiosity. It’s a testament to the imaginative world-building in your storytelling.

The concept of Earth’s corrupting influence on fairies and Stephanie’s struggle to resist it adds depth to her character. Her descent into a life of crime, the formation of the Safer Streets gang, and her complex relationship with Ethan make for an engaging narrative. Stephanie’s ability to ride high-powered motorbikes and her knack for petty crime create a dynamic character with a blend of skills and a moral ambiguity that leaves readers wondering about her next move.

I love how Stephanie Bell is more like a human than an actual fairy and how she relates to humans more with doing criminal things, rather than flying in the air like a fairy. Although my favorite movie with fairies will always be FernGully: The Last Rainforest and Peter Pan. There was still a good solid storyline here if you’re into fantasy.

  27. Stephanie’s story reflects why rehabilitating criminal elements in society can be challenging. Many of them are a product of faulty backgrounds with a corrupt mindset. Their mind is trained to see and commit crimes. It makes rehabilitation difficult. Stephanie’s story reminds me of my cousin, that constantly complained of committing crimes after several dreams in which he was instructed on what to do. Helping him was challenging. There are so many such elements in our communities.

  28. Hi Dominic –
Stephanie’s story is somewhat familiar – It reminds of people who grew up with no family. This could be because they spent time in foster care or were abandoned. Either way, having to assimilate to a new world, learn new things, and pave the way for is difficult.
The wrinkle of using her superpowers for evil is an interesting twist. This reminds me of Deadpool where Ryan does not care about being good. Rather she does what she wants, first joining a gang then leading one. I could see the Higher world yearning for Stephanie to return but I did not anticipate a younger fairy being picked.
Sophia, being young, was perhaps the ideal choice for the mission but naive at best.  What a wonderful story full of twists and turns.
I look forward to reading more of your stories.

    Keep up the good work.

I’m curious about the dynamics between Stephanie, Sophia-Highborn, and Raven Eagle-Bane in the Higher World. How does their relationship evolve, especially considering Raven’s loyalty to the Dark Witch and her plans to wage war on the Fairy Realm? How does Stephanie’s desire to return to Earth impact these dynamics? It seems like there’s a complex web of allegiances and motivations here.

    • Hey Stratos, great comment and questions you have here.

Stephanie doesn’t have much to do with Sophia-Highborn in the higher world. She even fails to recognise her at first. she does hear about Raven’s plans but she laughs them off, thinking it’s all quite Ridiculous and that fairies are simply too powerful against witches who are after all, only human. But she is willing to use the advice and help of the young witch to get back to Earth. Ultimately, they are a good team but not really friends.

  31. This blog post is well-written and engaging. It is full of interesting details about the world of the fairies and the characters in the story. The plot is exciting and adventurous, and the writing is clear and concise. I found the story to be both enjoyable and thought-provoking.

One of the things I liked best about the blog post is the way it describes the fairy world. It is a place of magic and wonder, but it is also a place of danger. The fairies are powerful beings, but they are also vulnerable to corruption. I liked the way the blog post explored the complex relationship between the fairy world and the human world.

Another thing I liked about the blog post is the way it develops the characters. Stephanie is a complex and fascinating character. She is a criminal, but she is also a powerful fairy. She is drawn to the dark side, but she also has a good heart. I liked the way the blog post explored her inner struggles and her relationships with the other characters.

Overall, I found the blog post to be a well-written and enjoyable read. It is a story that is both exciting and thought-provoking. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy stories with complex characters and interesting plots.

The author has created a wonderful and magical world that has different types of fairies, magic, secrets, and conflicts. The characters are also very well-developed and realistic. They have their own personalities, backgrounds, strengths, and flaws.

It’s very interesting that Stephanie has inner conflict from time to time, and that she seeks distraction and thrills because she feels empty inside. I’m curious how she will deal with her conscience and emotions as the story unfolds. I’m also intrigued by the fact that the corrupting influences of Earth on fairies can be overcome, but once corrupt, it is hard for a fairy to redeem herself. I wonder what kind of training Sophia-Highborn received before coming to Earth, and how she will resist the temptation of darkness and evil.

If you are a fan of fantasy and adventure stories, I highly recommend you to read this book. You will not regret it. This book will take you on a journey of discovery, magic, friendship, and destiny.

Your article did an excellent job of making me want to buy your book.  So, that’s the whole game; but I think you are using the blog form for much more than that.  I clearly is a creative extension of your creative writing.  That is what amazed me and caught my interest.  Even the font and capitalization of every word supports your theme in a very creative way.  You have taken blogging to another level.  At first, I thought you were reviewing someone else’s writing.  I would like to see you do that; get into other writer’s work like you have your own.  I would love to see that.  You have taught me much about blogging.  I haven’t seen it as personal expression; clearly that is your strength.  I needed some schematics to help me follow the relationships among all the fairies.  I was really intrigued by the way you seamlessly related two different realities, the normal earth reality and the fairy higher reality.  I do think there are people in this life that don’t really belong here.  They generally end up doing amazing things.  Mother Teresa was one.  But for this life, they are misfits.  To call them fairies is believable.  Of course, you know the creative possibilities there.  I will follow your work. Thank you.

Now, about this love interest, Joyce The Son Of Marius. I am intrigued to know if he turns out to be a good guy or bad guy. Or does he become a lost character whose story is short lived? Will get to this soon!

    • Hi & thanks for a great comment! It’s great you think the blog is a good idea as a way for future fans to get more into the world that is connected to the Crime or Crown tale.

Joyce the Son of Marius is a Saltor from the higher world. Since he has not been exposed to Earth he does not become Corrupt. However, he does love fallen fairy princess Stephanie Bell and knowing that she wants to return to Earth, he does begin to wonder whether she might accept him if he goes to earth with her. But his better judgment kicks in and he rests in the hope that she will come around eventually and reign with him at her side.

  40. This blog article offers a fascinating look into Stephanie Goldmaracynthia Bell, a fairy and criminal genius. The complicated plot and character development make it interesting. I’m intrigued about fairy world dynamics and their connections with our world, especially the corrupting impact. How do fairies fit in with people and what magical skills do they have?

Raven Eagle-Bane injects excitement into the story. Her devotion and training under the Dark Witch seem vital to the tale. How will Stephanie and Raven’s partnership affect fairy-Earth power? I want to know their intentions and the story’s next step.

This series seems intriguing, so I’ll investigate. Where can readers discover more information about the next novels in the series?

    • Hi Carol, thanks for the positive comment and questions.

In the past, Errands of Benevolence were more common. That is, fairies and saltors (usually called ‘elves’ by humans) used to visit us a lot more often. they would come and go, doing little favours and sometimes large favours but without revealing much about themselves. But they noticed a dark, self-serving energy on earth and it had the power to draw fairies away from their duties and fixate on personal gain. And so it became very rare for a Fairy to be permitted to visit our World.

Fairies have numerous superior abilities. Here are some examples:

(Note that each power has varying degrees. Lower ranking fairies Wield lesser versions of these powers. And not all fairies have all higher world powers).

Fairy sense – a field of awareness beyond sight regarding other beings and events.

Lordship of Plants – The ability to command a fruit tree to lower its branches so that a fairy can take its fruit.

Universal voice – The ability to communicate with all nature including animals and get them to do things.

Condensed Form – The ability to act on human sense perception and to alter one’s appearance so that they seem small and sometimes childlike so as not to Intimate human beings when visiting earth.

Wing channel mastery – the ability to use a wing channel which is a device invented long ago by a fairy that enables the transfer of energy through the fairy and into the channel. The channel is strapped to the fairy’s back and has openings in it. if used successfully, the energy can transform through the wing channel into luminous and slightly transparent wings. High ranking fairies can use these to fly for considerable distances but lower ranking fairies can only fly low and for a short while with them. Others cannot use them at all and they eventually went out of fashion, being considered Unnecessary, as are shoes which are sometimes worn as an honorific.

Excellence of body – beauty, brightness, agility, speed, very long life and almost complete immunity to dirt, disease and death.

Fairy Flame – an ability to channel energy through the arms and hands in order to start a fire and sometimes to attack a target. This can be painful and Exhausting to use.

Superior Vision – an extra brightness of the eyes and countenance together with the ability to read thoughts with almost perfect accuracy based on facial expressions and other subtle signs.

Then there are many other powers relating to combat and another list of fairly minor abilities and some other more significant ones.

Stephanie and Raven each have their own interests with one wanting to go back to her life on earth and the other wanting to carry out a mission assigned to her by the Dark Witch. Raven and Stephanie operate as a team and even have some interesting conversations which involve casual talk and some laughter. However, they simply aren’t real friends at the end of the day.

Crime or Crown is still in the process of production unfortunately. So readers cannot yet access the full story at this point in time.

You have done an exceptional job in creating a unique and captivating character in Stephanie Bell. Not only is she a fairy, but she is also a royal one, next in line for the crown of the higher world. Your writing style is engaging and easy to follow, making it an enjoyable read. I highly recommend this post to anyone interested in fantasy stories or fairy tales.

  42. i like the twist., crime wave fairy tale

It’s nothing different from what the Bible portrays of the falling angels

i think this story rectifies the daily motives and pungent lives of society when it comes to our spirituality and the mortal practices of living..

our path so we choose by power of choice,. different and none different to say that heavenly place is the seventh heaven the chackra state

the earthly desire she has is the lower chackra state

this is just a version of the heavenly bodies that was tampered with and scattered by derogative methods making the world to believe in something external

    i love the story

  43. “Stephanie Bell: The Wayward Fairy Princess” by Dominic, published on September 16, 2023, introduces Stephanie, a fairy living on Earth due to a meddling witch. Despite her origins, she embraces a life of crime and gang leadership. Fairies attempt to reclaim her, involving characters like Sophia-Highborn and Jane. The narrative weaves a tale of Stephanie’s dual identity and her journey through two contrasting worlds.

  44. This is such a fresh crime/ fantasy hybrid narrative. I love Stephanie’s edge, which juxtaposed against her fairy being, is an unlikely and edgy combo. In many ways I think this speaks to how multifaceted young people can be today, and possess different characteristic traits than traditionally expected, and the idea of having a main character with more antagonist energy.

  46. I love the fantasy world and Crime or Crown will be my next fairy realm read. I have never read about a lost Fairy who turns into a criminal and who loves what the human world has to offer. This is an intriguing plot. I believe that we all can identify with the main character’s “pull between two worlds”. At least I can. This reminds me of the biblical story of the wayward prodigal son who is attracted by the outside world but finally decides to come back “home”.

  47. What an interesting and imaginative topic, which I think would greatly appeal to young girls, giving them a sense of adventure and fantasy, as well as a felling of power to be able to do the things that they dream about. I can see that the storyline can be extended indefinitely by introducing other characters to the story line, so its a great idea and one that can be expanded and further enhanced.

  48. Fairytale and crime fiction! this is a great combo into one and promise to be a great read. Well, I must say Stephanie is really intriguing. I mean, she’s all toughen up but still has soft spot for her family. That’s why Jane could get her with the needle.

But I’m thinking her tough side would definitely want to make her get back at her human sister, and this kind of make me want to know how it ends.
